A "GLOOPY" winter day

It's a gloomy, sloppy winter day here in central Louisiana.  I just call it "gloopy".  It's not good for much of anything important.  Think I'll just enjoy a cup of cocoa and bake something.  I might find time to look through a few seed catalogs.  Happy January everyone!!

getting it all wrapped up

This is the bow I made from wrapping paper.  I love how it turned out!  Now I have a use for all those extra pieces that are too small for a package.  thank you Pinterest!

Happy Thanksgiving

We all enjoyed our Thanksgiving turkey, even the turkeys that roamed the yard unaware.  They were very thankful that we got ours from the store

It's Pumpkin season again

I decided to start the new Autumn off with a new tradition.  I made my first ever Pumpkin Soup.  Since I have never even tasted it, I didn't know what to expect.  I added homemade croutons since everything is better with buttered toast. ( not necessarily)  I was pleasantly surprised!  I ate far more than I had planned since the rest of my family thought I was nuts for eating pumpkin in something that wasn't meant to be sweet.
It did help to have a pot of Mustard greens and cornbread on the stove too.

It's definitely Summertime

This is my favorite crop from that garden.  Now I have to find some good recipes.

how much more vintage could I possibly get?

This is actually my new hobby.  It's like a fun challenge.  I'm not very good right now, but it's like a fun challenge.  I look forward to next time!!
